MEET DEVON
Devon is the founder and Principal Designer at Convive. She is a licensed Interior Designer and a seasoned Project Manager. She received a Bachelors of Science in Interior Design from Texas State University where she briefly returned to join their faculty as an Associate Professor of hospitality design.
She has been recognized by INTERIOR DESIGN Magazine as a 30 under 30 designer and is a featured content contributor to Austin Design Week. She served on the Texas Oklahoma chapter board of IIDA, The International Interior Design Association, and served her local design community as the Director Elect, Director, and Past Director of IIDA Austin City Center.
Her time spent traveling and observing design on a global scale has fueled her passion for creating storied interiors that look stunning, feel like home and stand the test of time. When she's not hard at work, she loves hosting and cooking with friends, reading fantasy books, dabbling in photography and getting out of the states to see something old to re-fill her creative cup.
Since starting her career, she has had the pleasure of designing and managing a wide range of project types across North America including: residential, commercial, hospitality, education, student housing, senior living, and multifamily.
UNDERSTANDING THE SCRIBBLE
What some may see as just a doodle or tangle of lines, we see as a symbol of the design process itself—messy, evolving, and alive. The scribbled period at the end of Convive. turns the name into a verb—an action that not only reflects how we see our role on projects but also how we shape space with intention, collaboration, and care. Like a crumpled piece of trace paper, it represents the rhythm of ideas that build, unravel, and begin again. It’s our visual signature—a reflection of how we work: embracing iteration, exploration, and refinement on the path to creating spaces that are both thoughtful and beautiful.
